Meet our Athletic Director!

Kevin Locascio joins the Roosevelt community as our new Vice Principal of Athletics. A native of Federal Way, Washington, Coach Locascio developed a strong passion for sports at an early age, participating in baseball, track, and basketball. During his time at Decatur High School, he was a three-year varsity letterman in basketball and advanced to the state tournament three times.
Coach Locascio continued his academic and athletic involvement at Gonzaga University, where he earned a degree in mathematics while also serving as a practice player for the women’s basketball team.
Following college, he spent five seasons working as both a head and assistant basketball coach while teaching high school mathematics. In 2022, he relocated to Portland to pursue opportunities in educational leadership. He has since worked as a Teacher Mentor/Instructional Coach for new teachers within Portland Public Schools and recently completed his administrative internship at Cleveland High School.
Coach Locascio is enthusiastic about returning to high school athletics. He understands the significant impact that team participation can have on students’ lives and looks forward to supporting Roosevelt’s student-athletes.
